As a guide, a hydraulic breaker for a 2 to 3.5 tonne digger is often around £45 a day or £190 a week before VAT, for a 13 to 15 tonne excavator around £75 a day or £375 a week, and for a 20 tonne excavator around £110 a day or £550 a week. Head brackets and steel wear may be extra.
